At Emory Decatur’s Comprehensive Wound Care Center, IDSA’s physicians provide specialized treatment for patients suffering from chronic or non-healing wounds. These wounds can cause severe health risks, and — without intensive medical intervention and wound treatments — may result in life-threatening infections, debilitating health problems, and even amputation.
Some of the common causes of chronic wounds include:
- Diabetes
- Vascular disease
- Infection
- Immobility
- Trauma
- Surgery
- Burns
- Radiation injury
Chronic wounds can cause severe emotional, physical, and financial stress and seriously compromise a patient’s quality of life. Our comprehensive approach can heal wounds that have resisted other treatments, reduce incidence of recurrence, and prevent permanent disability.
The Emory Decatur’s Comprehensive Wound Care Center is located in Suite 340 on the same floor as the offices of Infectious Disease Specialists of Atlanta (Suite 330).
Visit “Where wounds meet healing” to hear patient success stories and learn more about wound care.
